FRATERNITY is a work inspired by bittersweet childhood memories. Through this painting, I question the place given to girls in certain families, where the male figure is often placed above all else.

I grew up in a culture where maternal love sometimes seemed to favor boys — they were valued, protected… while girls were expected to stay in the background.

This piece is both a quiet cry and a heartfelt testimony. It speaks of the sincere love between siblings, but also the pain of unequal affection. It invites reflection on gender roles, parental expectations, and the subtle ways inequality is passed down through generations.
